Today, I am simplifying a beloved recipe for Taco Tuesday with Baked Turkey Tacos. This is one of my favorite dishes because it is one the whole family can help make! I always have the kids make the taco seasoning while the adults cook. Cooking as a family is such a great way to spend quality time together around the craziness of work and school. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 12 taco shells
- 1lb ground organic turkey
- 1 chopped onion
- 3 tbsp taco seasoning (see below)
- 3 garlic cloves peeled
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 can organic black beans (or for kids who hate seeing beans in tacos, 1 can organic refried beans)
- organic Mexican shredded cheese
Seasoning Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 Tsp sea salt
- 1 Tsp cayenne pepper or ground pepper
Instructions:

- Line up shells in a casserole dish
